Phd students

Faye Bruce is Programme Leader BSc (Hons) Contemporary Health Studies, Faculty of Health, Psychology and Social Care and  PhD student working with Rebecca Lawthom, Ornette Clennon & Juliet Goldbart.  Her PhD title is ‘Awareness, Knowledge and Attitudes to the Risk and Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease. An Ethnographic study of African and Caribbean Experiences in an Urban Area.  Her research aims to explore the factors that influence the incidence of CVD within the African and Caribbean community and to contribute to the development of a set of indicators for future health care interventions.
 

Hannah Davies is a Phd student working with Jenny Fisher and Katherine Runswick-Cole. Her working Phd title is ‘Enabling families in austere times: an ethnographic exploration of the role of Home-Start organisations in England’. Hannah is currently working on her proposal.
